Hello, this isn't Happy Rhodes writing. My name is Vickie and I put up Happy's fan page. Immi loves Happy, btw (I have a signed poster on my wall where she says it in writing). I just wanted to say good luck with your project and that I think it's a wonderful idea. I was introduced to Immi via the Happy Rhodes mailing list ecto after her first album came out and I'm so glad she's getting more and more recognition. Music has meant so much to my life. I met my husband because we were both huge Kate Bush fans. I found Happy's music, which has been deeply, deeply important to me, because of Kate's music. For several years I had a radio show featuring female vocalists and I now have a podcast based on that show. Music has literally saved my life in times of deep depression. My life would be horrible without music. At best it would be dead boring. At worst I would be dead. That sounds melodramatic, but it's the truth. Being a Happy Rhodes fan has been a rewarding, if frustrating, endeavor. Frustrating because she's been making music for over 20 years and has released 10 truly amazing, original, beautiful albums, and yet is still unknown and unrecognized for her immense talent. I firmly believe that music historians will discover her and look back at her time and realize what a brilliant and important artist she was. Once the entierty of her work is taken into account, they'll be appalled at how ignored she was. I believe that with all my heart, though I don't know that it will happen in my (or her) lifetime. It would be nice, but probably not. Ultimately though, it's rewarding because of the wonderful music, the meaningful lyrics, and Happy's astonishing voice. And as a bonus, I've been able to discover artists such as Immi, who I adore. There's no tour date for where I live but I just had to tell you my POV. - Vickie
